THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF MIGRATION POLICY
International Cooperation
Migration policies can no longer be conceived and implemented in isolation. The lack of the labour force and the demographic change in some Member States determined the EU and the national governments to be more creative. As part to the global approach to migration the EU launched pilot mobility partnerships-framework for cooperation on migration issues. Though limited in practice, specific arrangements with sending countries to obtain seasonal and temporary workers are put in place.
